The brightly colored Gymnocalycium Friedrichii is a hybridized cactus. It's grafted onto a green host cacti, like Hylocereus, because it lacks chlorophyl and can't grow on it's own. The Hylocereus shows it off beautifully and keeps the Moon Cactus alive.
